Three Hierarchs Greek School Recital - Metropolis of Boston - Annunciation Cathedral - Center -Brookline, MA. Vasilopita Cutting Celebration
The Metropolis of Boston Greek School Ministry is deigned to insure that th Greek Heritage in the United States and especially New England, be passed down from generation to generation. This dedication to language and culture is a part of our diverse background in the Greek American Community that includes all six New England states but especially in Massachusetts and Eastern Massachusetts, Thanks to the current President, Anastasia Moragianni of the Greek School Association of the Metropolis of Boston, the Greek Language has once again returned to the forefront of learning post pandemic with Anastasia and her many dedicated teachers under the association. All with the Blessings of His Eminence, Metropolitan Methodios of Boston. In addition to Anastasia's dedication to the Greek School curriculum, she also is the administrator of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral of New England office in Brookline Massachusetts, co-ordinating her activities with the Cathedral Ministries and Fr. Tom Chininis, Dean of the Cathedral. The Three Hierarchs Recital of the students this year was celebrated at the Cathedral Center in Brookline, Massachusetts with parents, family members and guests to cheer on our Greek School students. Performing at the event was the Sons and Daughters of Alexander the Great Dance Group, directed by George Papadopoulos and the Metropolis Dance Group by Dr. John Pappas. We also want to thank Byzantine Choir Director Rev. Fr. Romanos Karan's, PhD. Chancellor of the Metropolis of Boston, Fr. Ted Barbas and attending clergy at the Recital and Consul General of Greece in Boston, Symeon Tegos for his generous remarks to the students, teachers and parents in attendance. In addition what was great is the cutting of the Vasilopita to bring good luck to the students for 2023!
