The Initiative, Rise For Hunger Food drive was a hug success at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral of New England on Saturday, February 25, 2023. Not only did we reach our goal of $4000.00 for the goal, over 10,000 meals were prepared by our volunteers in the Global Effort to feed the hungry in other countries. it is empowering by example, and the Cathedral led by example. The Cathedral GOYA, Pastoral Assistant and Youth Organizer and teacher and Chanter, Jack Bushell and Fr. TOm Chininis worked for weeks to prepare for this special day. We thank our volunteers who came out on their Saturday to help in preparing the foods and to pack them, so they could be shipped to children and families in need, in other nations.
